ABOUT ERIC D. HOWELL

After working as a stuntman, stunt coordinator, and 2nd unit director for such movies as "North Country," "A Simple Plan," and "A Serious Man," Eric Howell started wearing the director's hat for narrative episodes on a children's adventure series and for Non-Governmental-Organization projects documenting children living in abject poverty.

Howell employs striking visuals which give his storytelling a sophisticated quality.  His short film, “Ana’s Playground," won top honors at twenty+ international film festivals and was short listed for an Academy Award nomination. Howell’s “Smashing Cancer" commercials for the American Cancer Society won Silver at the Telly Awards. Recently Howell was dubbed by SHOOT! Magazine “as one of the industry’s crop of new directors to watch”, and won the FADE IN Magazine 2012 Grand Prize for one of his feature screenplays.

Howell's first feature film, "Voice from the Stone", starring Emilia Clarke ("Game of Thrones") and Marton Csokas ("The Lord of the Rings") enjoyed its nationwide theatrical release in Spring 2017. Howell recently completed a series of brand videos for Unitedhealth Group as well as a documentary video series for NFL Green Bay Packers.
